Grâce à Sam, nous avons pu plonger une tête dans un lac de la région… un moment absolument magique.

Pour nous rendre au milieu du lac, nous empruntons une petite barque pilotée par un jeune cambodgien accompagné de 3 enfants. J’ai l’impression qu’ils sont tous frères.

Le temps s’est arrêté… et les moments passés ici resteront gravés dans ma mémoire … donc merci, Sam, pour ce superbe moment !

L’arrivée sur l’île de Koh Dach

Nous arrivons enfin au Cambodge. De Phnom Penh, nous partons pour l’île de Koh Dach (ou « île de la soie ») : route caillouteuse, petite traversée du Mékong … pas l’ombre d’un touriste en vue ; je sens que le séjour s’annonce sous les meilleurs auspices.

Nous ne resterons sur l’île que 3 nuits.

Nous résiderons chez Roger qui tient un guest house sur l’île. L’homme paraît de prime abord un peu bourru mais autant l’avouer tout de suite, nous n’aurions pas mieux trouver pour commencer notre séjour, il aime son île et a su nous faire partager des tranches de vie cambodgiennes que nous n’aurions sans doute jamais pu voir sans lui. Old Delhi, July 2012.

The Masjid-i Jahān-Numā which means ’World-reflecting Mosque’ is commonly known as the Jama Masjid. It is the principal mosque of Old Delhi in India.

Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal,in the year 1650 CE and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is the largest and best-known mosque in India.

It lies at the origin of a very busy central street of Old Delhi, the Chawri Bazar Road.

Like all other Bahá’í Houses of Worship, the Lotus Temple is open to all regardless of religion, or any other distinction, as emphasized in Bahá’í texts. The Bahá’í laws emphasize that the spirit of the House of Worship be that it is a gathering place where people of all religions may worship God without denominational restrictions.

The Bahá’í laws also stipulate that only the holy scriptures of the Bahá’í Faith and other religions can be read or chanted inside in any language; while readings and prayers can be set to music by choirs, no musical instruments can be played inside. Furthermore no sermons can be delivered, and there can be no ritualistic ceremonies practiced.
